whatsego.com
WhatsEgo.com is a speculative design project that interrogates the construction of digital identity, perception, and self-mythology in online spaces. Built as an immersive, semi-fractured personal archive, the site plays with ideas of ego, persona, and narrative control—inviting users to explore the blurred boundaries between authenticity, performance, and digital selfhood.
The site unfolds like a psychological interface: layered, nonlinear, and fragmented. Users navigate through oblique reflections, self-referential content, and interface behaviors that resist traditional expectations. Each section questions what it means to “be” online—what is curated, what is hidden, and what emerges through digital trace.
Key elements:
- A deliberately unstable and poetic interface that reflects the slippery nature of ego and online persona.
- Visual and structural metaphors—mirrors, echoes, recursion—used to convey internal complexity.
- A speculative narrative framework that blends autofiction, theory, and digital aesthetics.
- Custom interactive components that shift depending on path and perceived intent.
WhatsEgo.com continues my work in using the web not just as a tool—but as a medium for storytelling, critique, and emotional design. It’s a space that resists easy categorization, functioning as both a self-portrait and a mirror held up to digital culture.
